Revised Rating Symbols for Private Passenger:

There is one rating symbol in the ISO Symbol & Identification Manual for 2010 & prior model years.

For 2011 & subsequent model years, there will be a rating symbol for comprehensive coverage and another for collision coverage,
which will increase rating accuracy.

The MAIPF will adopt this change on March 1, 2010.

The MAIPF Manual currently displays model year factors and symbol factors in one table (R-10/11).

The amended private passenger rate section will introduce a 75-symbol table for 2011 and subsequent model years, new model year
factor tables, new symbol factor tables, and revised rating worksheets.

The base rates have not changed and can be found in the revised manual that AIPSO will distribute shortly.

In the future, only base rates and model year tables will change.
