Mark Wagenschutz has served as the Executive Director of the Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility since May 2017. His responsibilities also include administration of the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) and Help Eliminate Auto Thefts (HEAT).
Mark spent 23 years at State Farm Insurance prior to joining MAIPF. At State Farm, he worked in auto claims and underwriting. He also spent time there working on Planning & Strategy and Logistics. Mark also has experience as the Marketing Director for the Community Health Center of Branch County.
Mark's educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and minor in Communications from Hope College, Holland, MI as well as a Master's degree in Organizational Communication from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo MI.
As part of his ongoing development, Mark has attained several industry-specific designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).
Mark is also an active participant in his local community, having served on a variety of boards and/or committees including local chapters of Junior Achievement, United Way, March of Dimes, CPCU, and Toastmasters.
